Company Profile: MySchoolHelp

Ben Lang of MySchoolHelp, a NY startup that offers a place for high school students to find their classmates' notes and reviews, answered our questions on the company and its product.
1- What is the startup's product? How is it used?
MySchoolHelp is a platform where high school students can find and share notes from their respective school to improve their grades, catch up on classes, and assist their friends.

2- What problem are you solving?

High school students are always looking for notes and reviews written by their classmates. Instead of photocopying or emailing their notes, which is inefficient, they can simply upload them to MySchoolHelp for their classmates to find. It also allows students to catch up on missed classes and improve their test scores.

3- What is your business model?

Advertisements and sponsorships. Our traffic will be valuable to specific advertisers like tutors and book merchants due to the age demographic.

4- What's your current status; ie. how many users? profitable? Previous funding? Looking for funding?

Our prototype was RamazHelp, a website that Ben made for his high school two years ago. As of now over 70% of the student body now relies on RamazHelp on a weekly basis. MySchoolHelp is currently being developed. We’re looking for funding in order to develop a scalable platform and market our site to high schools in the US.
